Wind River’s VxWorks Becomes the First Operating System to Achieve Certified Conformance to POSIX PSE52 Real-Time Controller Profile Standard

Wind River's commercial-grade technology enables aerospace and defense, network equipment and automotive device manufacturers to rapidly, efficiently and economically develop highly deterministic, standards-conformant applications certified for stringent levels of safety and security. POSIX, a family of standards developed by the Portable Applications Standards Committee (PASC) of the IEEE Computer Society, enables access to integrated information within and between enterprises based on open standards and global interoperability. Typically, greater levels of POSIX support enable code reuse and portability of third-party, open-source applications to VxWorks and from VxWorks.
