Wind River Systems Joins The Open Group's Real-Time and Embedded Systems Forum

Alameda, Calif.--July 24, 2003--Wind River Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: WIND), the worldwide market leader in embedded software and services, today announced Wind River's membership to The Open Group's Real-Time and Embedded Systems Forum. The Open Group is a vendor and technology neutral consortium dedicated to enterprise integration, and the Real-Time Embedded Systems Forum is dedicated to growing the marketplace for standardized real-time and embedded systems. The Open Group includes leading companies from industry, government and academia such as IBM, Sun Microsystems, the Defense Information Systems Agency and the Embedded Systems Laboratory of MIT.
