Siemens Medical Selects Wind River Technology for Next Generation Medical Imaging System
- VxWorks Developer Tool Kit (VDT) used as foundation for Siemens MAGNETOM Avanto
- Wind River technology enables Siemens Medical to get to market faster than its competition
The MAGNETOM Avanto is the first Siemens imaging system to fully incorporate its total imaging matrix(TIM) technology. This technology is able to scan and develop images of the entire body from head to toe in a single session and in less than twelve minutes. By using Wind River's VDT technology, Siemens Medical was able to ensure the reliability of its MAGNETOM Avanto and greatly accelerate its time to market.
