Fine Point Technologies, Inc. Collaborates with Wind River to Provide Comprehensive Broadband Deployment Solution for Internet Service Market
Under the terms of the deal, Fine Point Technologies, Inc. will extend the functionality of Wind River's industry leading client-based PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) software solution to include value-added features along with bundled Internet service deployment technologies. Fine Point Technologies, Inc. will deliver broadband service providers a low-cost solution to speed their DSL deployment process and ensure higher deployment success rates.
The solution is designed to eliminate the need for an on-site technician (truck roll) to install/deploy DSL service, which has proven to be the bottleneck in the success of DSL in the industry today. This solution not only helps ensure a higher success rate, but also enables the service provider to deploy value-added services such as content, messaging, and security to their users.
