Wind River Announces Strategic Relationship With BeComm At NAB
A demonstration of Wind River's information appliance platform running BeComm's StringsTM technology will show how thin clients, such as wireless tablets, can seamlessly access multimedia content throughout a network by harnessing the processing power and capabilities of other connected devices. The resulting media clients can be used to show audio and video programs without requiring the costly functional overhead.

"Becoming proficient in BeComm's technology will enable us to help manufacturers develop products for the emerging media client market space."
BeComm's Strings technology uses the concept of a distributed media engine to enable users to connect to digital media of any form, in any environment, with the device or appliance of their choice. Strings also manages the dataflow within your application, so your application will be scalable, efficient and lightweight.
