Wind River Extends Support to Intel's Next Generation IXP4XX Product Line of Network Processors
Wind River will support the IXP4XX product line in several of its integrated embedded platforms, including Wind River PLATFORM for Network Equipment, Wind River PLATFORM for Consumer Devices and Tornado for Home Gateways. Wind River's tools that will support the IXP4XX product line also include the VxWorks Developer's Kit, Wind River's visionPROBE II and visionICE II run control.

"The Intel IXP4XX network processor product line coupled with Wind River's market-leading technology eliminates the need for our joint customers to spend time on hardware and software integration, enabling them to focus on product differentiation and time to market."
In addition to the new IXP4XX product line of network processors, Wind River currently supports the Intel® IXC1100 control plane processor with their advanced software and debug tools. Wind River also continues to support the Intel® IXP2800 and Intel® IXP2400 network processors for carrier-class and enterprise networking equipment, Intel IXP425 network processor for broadband networking system, and the Intel® IOP321 I/O processor for Intelligent RAID, IP Storage (iSCSI) and TCP Offload applications.
