ALAMEDA, CA and Ashburn, VA, Apr. 15, 2003 - Wind River Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:WIND), the worldwide market leader in embedded software and services, today announced that it has formed a partnership with The PTR Group, a recognized leader in embedded systems development, engineering services and training, to provide Wind River training. Through this partnership, The PTR Group will work closely with Wind River to market and deliver training classes to Wind River customers throughout the United States and Canada. Wind River customers will continue to receive the most up to date Wind River courseware while experiencing the PTR Group's teaching and training expertise.

"To ensure the best training quality, Wind River looked for a partner that offered a strong engineering skill set and years of experience delivering training to the embedded and real-time market. PTR will begin delivery of Wind River's training in May 2003, and training quality will be maintained by a strict certification process and regular feedback and monitoring of delivered courseware. Wind River will continue to develop new courseware for existing and forthcoming products.
