MIPS Technologies Names Wind River as its Premier Device Software Optimization Solution Provider
- MIPS Technologies and Wind River strengthen ties by collaborating on product strategy
- Target market segments include consumer entertainment, imaging, network equipment and automotive telematics
Wind River offers comprehensive development tools that support the MIPS32® and MIPS64® architectures and cores through Wind River Workbench, Wind River’s Eclipse-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Through this alliance, joint customers can benefit from optimized and tightly integrated, end-to-end solutions on VxWorks- and Linux-based runtime platforms. In addition to supporting existing MIPS® cores and including the recently announced 24K™ family of cores, Wind River will collaborate with MIPS Technologies on supporting new technologies such as multithreading and DSP architectures.
