ALAMEDA, Calif. – Dec. 2, 2015 – Wind River®, a global leader in delivering software for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced its achievement as the continued market leader in both real-time operating systems (RTOSes) and commercial embedded Linux, according to the latest findings from VDC Research. VDC’s report, “The Global Market for IoT and Embedded Operating Systems,” covers the global market for commercially available RTOSes, non-real-time operating systems, and other related bundled products and services. According to VDC, Wind River retains its longstanding position as the RTOS market leader based on global revenue of
VxWorks® and related services. VDC reports that Wind River also led the commercial embedded Linux market for the seventh consecutive year, based on global revenue of its
Wind River Linux platform and related services.
