Wind River Tops its Category in Software Development Times 100 List
- Adoption of a Linux strategy recognized by SD Times 100 as visionary
- Customer and industry reaction to dual operating system strategy extremely positive
In February, Wind River announced an industry-shifting partnership with Red Hat to develop a Linux distribution specifically for the device software optimization market. Red Hat's Linux will be the foundation of Wind River’s Linux-based Platforms and will be integrated with Wind River's industry-leading development tools, middleware and services. Wind River now supports a dual operating system strategy, and will continue to offer Wind River Platforms based on its market-leading proprietary operating system, VxWorks ® .
