Wind River Launches Blog Network

ALAMEDA, Calif.– November 13, 2006 –Wind River Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:WIND), the global leader in Device Software Optimization (DSO), today announced the general availability of the Wind River Blog Network at http://blogs.windriver.com. The network is comprised of more than a dozen Wind River employees – from C-level executives to field engineers – who comment on and discuss current issues, technical information and industry trends pertaining to DSO and Wind River software.

"Wind River has maintained its leadership within the DSO market because we continue to leverage innovation – in our products, through industry participation, and in this case, with a new method for fostering community discussion," said John Bruggeman, chief marketing officer at Wind River. "The Wind River Blog Network allows us to offer our customers and partners a unique insight into what the leading device software experts are thinking, reading and talking about. No other DSO company today offers this kind of opportunity for community interaction."

The network, which was initiated via a trial program last month, has enjoyed significant momentum across the extended community of Wind River customers, partners and colleagues interested in interactive discussion on DSO-related topics. Beyond driving discussion within the industry and vertical markets in particular, the Wind River Blog Network offers the opportunity for experts to share device-software-development tips. Customers and partners also have the opportunity to learn more about topics such as design methodologies, debugging, testing, fault management, software componentization and target management.
