Wind River First to Market with Complete Hardware Assisted Tools Support for Motorola's PowerQUICC III Processor
- Wind River announces general availability of hardware bring-up tools and for Motorola's PowerQUICC III communications processor.
- Wind River is first to market with hardware bring-up tools for the PowerQUICC III.
- Wind River's development boards, VxWorks operating system and Tornado Tools will be generally available later this quarter.
With the general availability of Wind River's WIND POWER ICE and WIND POWER IDE 1.2 products, early adopters of Motorola's MPC85xx processor family have the complete board bring-up solution they need to get their job done quickly and efficiently. In addition to its hardware bring up tools, Wind River plans to support this processor family by providing MPC8540 and MPC8560 support in the following products: hardware development boards, BSPs, Tornado 2.2.1 development tools, and WIND RIVER PLATFORM for Networking Equipment (PNE).
