Wind River Sponsors Science Competition—Wind River WonderCup Challenge

WHAT:
Wind River Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: WIND), the global leader in device software optimization (DSO), will sponsor the Wind River WonderCup Challenge, a spirited competition that gives high school students the chance to test their basic science knowledge. The WonderCup challenge will be a featured event of Wonderfest 2004, the San Francisco Bay Area Festival of Science, taking place on November 6, 2004.

Wind River’s WonderCup challenge is specifically designed to test teams of students on their grasp of biology, chemistry and physics. The WonderCup championship will feature the Bay Area’s top two science quiz teams competing for highest honors at Wonderfest. The winning team will win notebook computers, provided by Wind River, and the coveted WonderCup trophy.

WHY:
Wonderfest is dedicated to the memory of Carl Sagan, a popular figure who fiercely proclaimed the importance of science in society, a concept that Wind River wants to support and foster in Bay Area students.
