RACE++(R) Series multicomputers bring new capabilities to embedded computing, including true scalability, configurability, and determinism. These open architecture products include VME, PCI, and CompactPCI systems with PowerPC processors, memory, and I/O cards providing maximum flexibility to meet application demands.
The RACEway fabric supports multiple interprocessor communications up to 267MB/sec. point-to-point, independent of the VMEbus. More than 320 processors can be connected in a single chassis with peak aggregate bandwidth over 43GB/sec. and over 80GB/sec. peak broadcast bandwidth. The ANSI/VITA standard RACEway is well established with direct bridges to VMEbus, HIPPI, front panel data port (FPDP), PCI bus, and through PCI to ATM, Fibre Channel, and other I/O channels.
The MC/OS(TM) multicomputer operating environment includes MCexec(TM), a lightweight, high-performance, real-time micro-kernel; the interprocessor communication system (ISC); and a low-level, high-performance data transfer service (DX). Supported host operating systems include VxWorks, Solaris, and Windows NT/2000. Powerful algorithm libraries such as SAL, PixL, and VSIPL-Lite speed application development. The MULTI IDE provides a base integrated development platform and is supplemented with insightful tools like the TATL multiprocessor analyzer and debugger.
RACE++ products are compatible with Tornado, offering a synergy of computational power and real-time management of time-critical processes for signal and image processing applications.
