Product Description

V4DSP is an FPGA processor designed to meet the most demanding needs for front-end signal processing applications. V4DSP provides two Virtex-4 processing nodes, each with its own memory resources, to give massive signal processing power coupled with an MPC7448 node to offer a powerful back-end processor that provides a familiar Board Support Package (BSP) interface.

V4DSP offers a choice of mezzanine support - a 64-bit/66 MHz PMC site, or an XMC site equipped with eight MultiGigabit Transceivers (MGTs) to the two Virtex-4 nodes. Each MGT to the mezzanine site operates at up to 3.125 GHz to yield exceptional mezzanine bandwidth.

For scalability, V4DSP provides two StarFabric ports at P0. These StarFabric ports can be used to scale large multiboard systems with Radstone's G4DSP-XE and the StarSwitch StarFabric switch card. Also provided at P0 are two MGT lanes for alternative high-speed serial I/O up to 2.5 GHz.
