MOBIS is a leader in the auto parts market in Korea. Since the first chassis modules in October, 1999, MOBIS has been supplying modules for most Hyundai and Kia car models. Wind River is providing MOBIS with a software platform for next-generation IVI systems designed to deliver an intelligent and innovative driving environment.

ACTIA, a worldwide group specializing in vehicle connectivity and diagnostics for the automotive market, is partnering with Wind River to build a next-generation telematics platform based on Linux called ACU-II. Leveraging Wind River auto solutions, ACU-II will offer "connected vehicle" technologies in 3G/4G, including European eCall, Russian eCall, ATSVR, remote diagnostics and services, and Internet connectivity to other units in a vehicle. The product is scheduled to be rolled out in 2013 to several major car manufacturers.

Continental, a leading global automotive industry supplier, chose Wind River Diab Compiler for its drive and vehicle control systems, including braking, engine control, and energy management. Diab Compiler allows Continental to centralize development data across 48 of its sites around the world, resulting in cost savings of more than 30 percent. Diab Compiler also helps Continental meet the requirements of ISO 26262, a functional safety standard for road vehicles.

The GENIVI Alliance is a nonprofit organization committed to driving the broad adoption of an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) reference platform. As a founding member of the GENIVI Alliance, Wind River plays a key role in this consortium by developing, integrating, testing, and contributing key automotive middleware and hardware integration components.

Wind River Platform for Infotainment is among the first GENIVI-compliant automotive solutions.

Hughes Telematics selected Wind River to provide the foundation for its next-generation telematics architecture. Hughes' telematics control unit (TCU) will deliver information to drivers using Wind River Linux. The Wind River solution will reduce development and hardware costs and increase the system's functionality. Hughes Telematics will begin rolling out its telematics solution in 2009.
