Product Highlights
- Intel i960RN microprocessor
- 64-bit primary PCI bus (four slots)
- 64-bit secondary PCI bus (four slots)
- PCI-to-PCI bus transfers via PCI-to-PCI bridge
- 16 to 128MB of SDRAM with ECC
Product Description
The SB-923 is a 64-bit system board engineered for building powerful standalone embedded and real-time systems. The board features eight 64-bit PCI slots bridged to a 64-bit, 66MHz SDRAM. The SDRAM is capable of data transfers twice as fast as either PCI bus (528MB/sec. peak transfer rate). This transfer rate, coupled with large FIFOs in address translation units (ATUs), allows both buses to concurrently transfer data to and from the SDRAM, effectively doubling the PCI bandwidth. The i960 processor can also access the SDRAM and both PCI buses. The 64-bit PCI slots can host both 32-bit and 64-bit adapter cards, facilitating a very versatile system.
The SB-923 system board is available mounted and tested in a 19-inch rack mount enclosure. The enclosure includes a 280-watt power supply, power and reset switches, mounting locations for peripherals, and eight full-length PCI card slots. For vertically mounted 5.25-inch or 3.5-inch peripherals, 8.5 horizontal inches are available.
The SB-923 facilitates software development with Cyclone's Breeze Development Environment and offers board support packages for Tornado 2.0/VxWorks 5.4 and IxWorks.
