The 2000 SERIES products are very dense, high-performance cluster computer systems specifically designed for use in applications that perform analysis of complex signals and images in real time. Typical computing-intensive applications requiring 2000 SERIES products include sonar, radar, and simulations within the defense market segment; CT and MRI applications in the medical imaging market; simulation/modeling for real-time simulation markets; and target/image/voice recognition in the video and audio processing markets.



The 2000 SERIES systems use the best of open system technologies, incorporating the latest PowerPC RISC processors, Myrinet-2000 networking technology, message-passing interface (MPI) software for interprocessor communications, and VxWorks as the real-time operating system. The 2000 SERIES products offer very high density, low power, and a full set of reliability, maintainability, and repairability features.
