An ANSI-Standard Fibre Channel Network

The FibreXpress(R) family of networking products is designed to maximize the superior communications and interconnect capabilities of ANSI-standard Fibre Channel. Combining the delivery and repeatability of a channel with the connectivity and protocol multiplexing of a network, Fibre Channel delivers the high-speed data transfers and interconnect versatility required by data-intensive applications.



Systran's FibreXpress FX100 series of 64-bit PCI, CompactPCI, and PMC adapters feature true 100MB/sec. throughput for switched fabric, point-to-point, and arbitrated loop configurations. All boards are available with built-in network media support for copper 1x3 differential, copper HSSDC, or 850nm and 1300nm optics at 1.062Gb/sec. speed. Systran's FX200 series boards provide the same connectivity options and bus support and feature data throughput at 200MB/sec.



Although the performance of FibreXpress hardware is impressive, the addition of Systran's unique, integrated multiprotocol driver software makes FibreXpress a superior choice for all types of high-throughput applications. The integrated driver allows simultaneous use of Systran's Lightweight Protocol (LP), along with raw initiator (RI), SCSI, file system SCSI, and Internet Protocol (IP) on the same media. The application is free to use the protocol that best fits the data transfer taking place.
