Todayï¿½s high availability communications and computing architectures use redundant primary battery feeds. Accessing various digitized primary side parameters from a secondary side management device provides significant system uptime advantages. Hidden fuse faults can be flagged before system downtime occurs. Card level parameters such
as primary side current and voltage levels can indicate fault trends and drive preventative maintenance activities.
The Tsi205 provides all these primary side monitoring capabilities. A PI-Linkï¿½ interface enables safe transmission of this data across isolation using a low-cost transformer. A CPU can then read this
information from a Tundra Tsi25x series power management device via its standard I2C interface.
