RTI Data Distribution Service (164)
RTI Data Distribution Service is a fully standards-compliant integration platform for real-time systems. A high performance and embedded counterpart to an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), it provides connectivity between heterogeneous real-time, enterprise and legacy applications. RTI significantly reduces integration time and cost by eliminating complex dependencies between applications, easing their reuse across systems.
Product Highlights
Integration middleware for real-time systems Rapidly integrate real-time applications to improve agility, accelerate upgrades and technology insertion, and cut cost Extremely high performance and scalability: low latency and high throughput Deployable in dynamic, ad hoc and autonomous environments without servers or system administration Enables efficient and reliable communication over WAN, wireless, satellite and non-IP networks Small footprint for embedded and resource-constrained systems Supports assurance to high levels of safety and security
Product Description
RTI Data Distribution Service is a fully standards-compliant integration platform for real-time systems. It significantly reduces integration time and cost by eliminating complex dependencies between applications easing their reuse across systems.
With RTI Data Distribution Service, real-time applications communicate using the publish/subscribe model. Applications simply publish the data they produce (for example, sensor data or commands) and subscribe to the data they consume. Publishers and subscribers are automatically discovered and connected at run-time. Individual applications do not require any knowledge of each other or of the underlying inter-processor communication mechanism. New capabilities and technology can be introduced without requiring changes to already developed, certified and deployed applications.
An Open Architecture solution, RTI Data Distribution Service complies with the Object Management Group (OMG) Data Distribution Service for Real-Time Systems (DDS) application programming interface and Real-Time Publish-Subscribe (RTPS) wire interoperability protocol. DDS is the only general-purpose integration standard designed to meet the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of demanding real-time systems. RTI Data Distribution Service is the highest performance and market leading DDS solution, with more the 70% market share and 10x the customers of any other implementation.
In addition to DDS, RTI Data Distribution Service includes adapters to other widely used integration technologies, including Java Message Service (JMS), Web services and relational databases. This allows easy integration of real-time applications with Web, enterprise and legacy applications. Included tools further accelerate integration, debugging and testing while easing management of deployed systems.
A small footprint Safety-Critical Edition is available for certification to high-assurance standards such as DO-178B.
