Mindspeed Technologies designs a line of semiconductors -- including network processors, DSL transceivers, and fiber-optic components -- for wireline and wireless networking. The company sells worldwide to kingpin telecommunications and networking OEMs (Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco Systems, Huawei, and Nokia Siemens Networks, among them) for use in three main categories of infrastructure equipment: communications convergence processing, high-performance analog, and WAN communications.
