Jay Bellissimo serves as the president of Wind River, overseeing all aspects of the company's global business as it drives the software-defined future in mission-critical industries. Previously, he was chief operating officer at Vonage, where he led global sales and operations, including the development and execution of the company's go-to-market strategy across its product portfolio.
With more than 35 years of experience in the software/technology industry, he joined Vonage from IBM, where he served as general manager of IBM U.S. Public and Federal Market. In this role, he was responsible for a multibillion-dollar portfolio spanning three industries: healthcare and life sciences, government and education, and defense and intelligence. He also held Top Secret clearance. He was a pioneer in the application of AI and established himself as a global expert across several industries and was the keynote presenter at numerous global AI conferences. He was also a member of IBM’s Performance Team, Client Experience Team, and Acceleration Team, which focus on the company’s short- and long-term growth strategies.
He held multiple additional executive roles during his tenure at IBM, including those of global general manager, Cognitive Process Transformation, IBM Global Services; general manager and chief revenue officer of the Watson & Cloud Platform; leader of IBM’s Global SAP Consulting Business and Global Business Services in the Aerospace & Defense and communications sectors, including the media and entertainment, telco, and energy/utilities industries; and leader of IBM’s Global Business Services business for Latin America, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to IBM, he held numerous industry management and practice leadership positions at PwC in Chemicals & Petroleum, Industrial Products, and Aerospace & Defense.
He holds a B.A. in political science from St. Michael’s College and serves on the Board of Trustees. Previously, he served on the Advisory Board of the Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Claremont McKenna College.
As Chief Technology Officer at Wind River, Paul Miller is responsible for driving the company’s global technology vision and strategy across its full portfolio of intelligent systems software. He leads innovation efforts that span from mission-critical embedded platforms to real-time operating systems, edge virtualization, cloud-native infrastructure, and AI-driven solutions.
With nearly three decades of leadership in advanced technologies, Paul brings deep experience in building and scaling platforms that power complex systems. At Wind River, his purview includes the company’s comprehensive solutions for the aerospace and defense, automotive, industrial, and telecommunications sectors—helping customers deploy intelligent, secure, and autonomous systems at scale. Paul has been a key architect of Wind River’s cloud and edge software initiatives, including the company’s market-leading 5G cloud platform based on StarlingX and its advanced Linux and VxWorks offerings used in billions of devices globally. His recent work includes shaping Wind River’s AI and software-defined strategies to address growing demand for connected, adaptive systems across industries.
Prior to joining Wind River, Paul served as CTO of GENBAND, where he oversaw architecture and development of globally deployed IP networking and multimedia solutions. He has led major transitions in telco infrastructure through OpenStack, SDN, NFV, and multi-cloud automation—delivering large-scale Tier 1 VNF deployments and holding a significant patent portfolio in network virtualization. A recognized industry voice, Paul’s innovations have enabled communications and technology providers worldwide to accelerate digital transformation, reduce operating costs, and launch next-generation services.
As Wind River Chief Revenue Officer, Sandeep Modhvadia is responsible for driving global go to market strategy with leadership of the sales and marketing divisions. He previously served as Wind Rivers Chief Product Officer.
Sandeep has over two decades of technology and product management experience, most recently at Acuity Inc, he led product management for its cloud software business as part of the Intelligent Spaces division, focused on sustainability, automation, and optimization of buildings. Before Acuity, he founded and led the product and solutions team for the Google Cloud Automotive and Manufacturing group launching its platforms for connected vehicles and smart factories. Prior to Google, he held multiple product, sales, and marketing leadership positions at Microsoft.
As Wind River Chief Customer Officer, Ed Harbour leads the company’s Customer Experience organization, responsible for professional services, customer support, customer success and education services.
Prior to joining Wind River, he was at IBM where he served as Vice President of IBM Cloud Platform Client Success, leading global deployment and technical engineering for cloud and AI solutions. He was also a member of IBM’s global leadership team, providing strategic guidance on key growth initiatives. Over his career, he has held numerous senior and executive roles across development, technical strategy, offering management, software deployment services, and large-scale cloud and AI systems implementation.
He holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is also a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business Executive postgraduate program. He is the co-author of three patents.
Viral Mehta is responsible for the execution and delivery of innovative products for the intelligent edge that are advancing the software-defined future across the mission-critical industries the company serves, including aerospace, automotive, defense, industrial, medical, and telecommunications.
Over his 20+ year career in the industry, he has helped launch cloud cybersecurity and collaboration products at global organizations such as AWS, NortonLifeLock, and Symantec. He joined Wind River from 1910 Genetics, where he most recently served as senior vice president, Software Engineering, responsible for strategy, planning, and execution for delivering market-leading products, including spearheading the creation of an advanced AI/ML-driven biotech platform. Prior to that, he served as a general manager at AWS, overseeing a cross-functional team encompassing engineering, user experience, and product management, where he developed and drove the strategy, products, and operations for Amazon Chime. Before AWS, he was the VP of engineering at NortonLifeLock, managing the full development life cycle of Norton’s $2B security product suite. He also spent more than a decade at Symantec, driving the Symantec and Norton engineering teams in developing enterprise and consumer software.
He has an M.S. in computer science from the University of Southern California.
Darrell Jordan-Smith is Chief Commercial Officer at Wind River, with a concentration on scaling the company’s next generation of growth across emerging markets, strategic partnerships, ecosystem, hardware and major commercial opportunities.
Leveraging Darrell’s multi-domain expertise, his key focus is creating AI-native solutions for the rapidly evolving world - bringing together intelligent systems, edge, cloud, software, services and partners to help customers turn technology shifts into new business models and growth.
Darrell brings three decades of commercial leadership across technology, telecommunications, financial services and media. He previously served as Wind River’s Chief Revenue Officer and, before that, spent ten years at Red Hat, most recently as Senior Vice President, Industries & Edge, where he grew the portfolio at a 22% revenue CAGR and founded the company’s worldwide Service Provider business.
Earlier in his career, he held sales and general management roles at Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Lucent Technologies. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde.
Melissa Jacob is responsible for implementing operational excellence in execution and streamlining strategic initiatives to ensure that our business goals are met. She also oversees program management for the office of the president. She will play a critical role in ensuring that Wind River day-to-day operations across functions are aligned with the overall strategic direction of the company.
Melissa has extensive experience in strategy, transformation, business, and operations. She was previously at Aptiv, where she served as Vice President, Critical Initiative Delivery, establishing the Critical Infrastructure Delivery team. Prior to Aptiv, Melissa led the global product management organization for the Aerospace, Defense and Marine Connectors business at TE Connectivity, served as Business Leader for Aircraft Data Management at UTC Aerospace Systems, and Director of Strategy and Product Management at L3 Aviation Products. She is also a decorated Navy Veteran, having served on active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer in various capacities, including Navigator, Gunnery Officer and Chief Engineer, as well as a Company Officer at the French Naval Academy.
She has an MBA from INSEAD in France, a Master of Science degree in Financial Economics from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
Jenny Suh leads Global Corporate Communications at Wind River, where she drives the development and execution of the company’s global communications strategy. In this role, she serves as senior communications counsel to the executive leadership team and is responsible for Wind River’s communications program including media relations, analyst relations, executive communications, internal communications, and social media.
With more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, Jenny has led high-impact initiatives across diverse industries, with a strong emphasis on the technology sector. Prior to joining Wind River, she spearheaded public relations, executive communications, and analyst relations programs for global Fortune 500 companies through her work with agencies.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in communications.
