About this course

Moving to a Yocto based system has required many changes in the platform project development and workflow. Installation is now from git repositories and the project directory layout has changed. Bitbake is now the builder not make. The many changes arising from the use of Yocto, git and bitbake are described in detail. The use of git mirrors to avoid the use of external networks is shown. Customisation, configuration and setup variable are different and compared with the previous release. The build scripts provided in Wind River Linux 8 are no longer supported and the replacement methods in Wind River Linux 9 are given.
