Wind River Solution Accelerator for Android, Connectivity

Mobile device users today want to be able to access their information and applications on whatever device they are using, wherever they are using it. At the same time, device manufacturers and even operators want to have a synchronization mechanism that is independent from any proprietary implementation that would limit the ability to provide this service.

Wind River® has incorporated the SyncML protocol into the Android run-time environment, providing an open standard solution for synchronization. SyncML is a widely adopted, open standard protocol. It allows device manufacturers, service providers, and application developers to develop to one universal and open standard rather than maintaining multiple interfaces to different protocols.
