Board Support Packages Wind River Strategic and Validation Hardware Partners
Customers can develop and deploy their smart, connected devices with the highest level of confidence when leveraging components and solutions from our Strategic and Validation Partners.
Strategic Partners work most closely with Wind River® to optimize our respective component and solution offers to meet the needs of the targeted vertical markets and device classes. Strategic Partners are selected based upon their market or technical leadership to address the needs of our mutual customers. Strategic Partners include leading semiconductor and FPGA firms, board and peripheral vendors, and complementary software and application providers.
Validation Partners have made the highest level of quality assurance (QA) investment to assure full interoperability with Wind River development tools and target software. These partners work closely with Wind River to validate their solution using industry-leading device test tooling and methodology. Partner solutions that have passed this QA investment carry the Wind River On-Board Validation logo.

Strategic Board Vendor Partners
Reduced risk, lower development costs, and faster time-to-market: These are three of the key benefits our customers realize when they leverage products and design services offered by the embedded board vendors (EBVs) that have joined the Wind River Partner Validation Program. These EBVs offer a rich range of products and capabilities, ranging from commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components addressing all major form factors through full system design. EBVs in our partner ecosystem include market share and technology leaders in critical market segments, including aerospace and defense, industrial, medical, M2M, network equipment, and many others. All of these EBVs either have in-house capability to confirm interoperability with Wind River products, or work with Wind River to do so on their behalf, allowing Wind River customers to select these EBVs with confidence. Wind River On-Board Program
To facilitate rapid evaluation and prototyping by customers, Validation Partners in the Wind River On-Board program may distribute embedded development kits. An embedded development kit consists of the Validation Partner hardware and a pre-integrated 30-day trial version of Wind River software showcasing one or more compelling use cases. At the conclusion of the 30-day trial, the use cases can be easily transferred to the fully licensed software environment. A current list of embedded development kits is posted on the Wind River website and the kits are available directly from Wind River On-Board partners.
