Wind River Online User Types

Wind River Online offers several user types, each designed to meet your needs at different times during your engagement with Wind River.

We recognize that you would prefer to maintain a single User ID on our site despite changing needs. Below, we describe the different types of users and provide you a way to upgrade your account as required.

windriver.com account
You will be asked to create an account with windriver.com in order to perform certain activities online such as registering for courses, downloading Whitepapers and accessing some some downloads.

If you are an existing Wind River customer, you should provide your Wind River license number to be granted either Basic or Maintenance level access as outlined, below. This will ensure that you do not need to perform the extra step to upgrade your account should you need access to our Support site in the future.

To Register: It takes only a moment to fill in the Registration Form.

Basic Online Support User
A Basic Online Support Account is for customers who have purchased a product but do not have a current Service Contract under their license(s). A Basic user has access to all of the Developer Network User resources and, in addition, access to Wind River's Online Support Site. A wealth of information is at your fingertips on Online Support but access to Maintenance Level features is restricted.

To Register: Provide your Wind River license number in the Registration form.

To Upgrade from a windriver.com account: Please visit the My Account page to add a license to your account.

Maintenance Online Support User
A Maintenance Online Support Account is for customers who have purchased a product and have purchased a Service Contract for their license(s). A Maintenance User has access to the full wealth of information and utilities available at windriver.com.

To Register: Provide your Wind River license number in the Registration form.

To Upgrade from a windriver.com account: Please visit the My Account page to add a license to your account.

To Upgrade from a Basic User: When you purchase a Service Agreement under a license associated with your Online Account, your access will be automatically set to Maintenance level.
