Wind River Supports Intel Atom C2000 Processor Family for Networking and Communications Market

Wind River®  expands its software support for the new Intel® Atom™ C2000 processor family across its embedded portfolio, including VxWorks® real-time operating system, Wind River LinuxWind River Intelligent Network PlatformOpen Virtualization Profile, Open Network Software, and Simics as well as a comprehensive suite of development tools. As a system-on-chip (SoC), the new Intel Atom C2000 processor family delivers a single chip, workloads-optimized solution for communications infrastructure customers. Equipped with Intel QuickAssist hardware acceleration technology to improve cryptographic performance, the processor family will help teams take full advantage of Wind River technologies and build a wide range of networks, complementing high-end systems based on Intel Xeon to low power solutions based on Intel Atom.
