Wind River ICE SX Has Evolved
Wind River ICE SX Has Evolved
The Wind River ICE SX JTAG debugger has been a workhorse for embedded engineers around the globe since 2002. But the embedded market has evolved, and in response Wind River built Wind River ICE 2, the first JTAG debugger designed specifically for multi-core debugging. Wind River continues to support ICE SX customers but recommends ICE 2 for new projects. Here’s why:
- Multi-core: ICE 2 is designed specifically for multi-core debugging.
- New processors: ICE 2 supports a much broader range of processors.
- ICE SX end of life: Wind River will continue to support ICE SX, Wind River Trace, and Wind River Connect until the end of 2012. However, upgrade versions of Wind River Workbench will not be compatible with ICE SX beginning in 2011.
