The Intel Atom processor E6xx series delivers I/O flexibility by departing from proprietary interfaces such as FSB and DMI and moving to the open, industry standard, PCI-Express as the processor-to-chipset interfaces. Embedded Development Kits for Tunnel Creek

of late-stage defects

Wind River has partnered with leading embedded board vendors to provide embedded development kits that enable developers to begin application development within minutes of opening the kit. They provide a technically comprehensive platform to address complex development requirements. We anticipate availability of Tunnel Creek kits later this year.

Each embedded development kit includes a bootable USB flash drive that immediately turns any host computer into a fully integrated development environment (IDE), with absolutely no installation required. Each board comes with a pre-flashed, 30-day run-time trial version of Wind River's VxWorks real-time operating system or Wind River Linux.
