Product Description
The Express-ATR is an Extreme Rugged, COM Express™ Type 2 compatible computer-on-module designed for reliable operations in extreme temperature and high vibration environments.
Based on the Intel® Atom™ N270 processor at 1.6 GHz with a 2.5 watt thermal design power (TDP), the Express-ATR is ideally suited for thermally constrained and fanless embedded applications. The N270 processor features Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology allowing more than one code thread to be executed simultaneously on a single core processor as well as Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology an advanced means of enabling very high performance while meeting the power-conservation needs of mobile and embedded environments.
A highly integrated design, the Express-ATR provides support for eight USB ports, two SATA ports, eight GPIO ports, one Ultra DMA 33/66/100 IDE controller supporting two IDE drives, and one Gigabit Ethernet interface. The Express-ATR also supports up to 2GB of onboard SODIMM memory and a graphics controller providing CRT and LVDS flat panel video interfaces for most LCD panels.
Using the Intel® Atom™ processor and Intel® 945GSE and ICH7M chipset allows developers to utilize a wide variety of mainstream software applications and middleware familiar to end users that will run unmodified with full functionality on this platform.
The Express-ATR is particularly well suited for embedded or portable applications in the Transportation, Military and Aerospace markets or anywhere dependable operation in the harshest environments is required.
